Be Bop Farms, Miniature Horses

boywithbaby (8K) It is always a pleasure to share information about these sweet little horses. We have been in business since 1988 raising miniature horses. We believe in being honest in all our transactions as we would expect the same. Miniature Horses are fun, exciting and a great way to earn an income! There are a lot options with minis for because they are easy to care for, require little acreage, eat less than a big dog and are easy to clean up after. All our horses are registered AMHA, AMHR or both. We strive to breed the best quality horses possible. We are creating horses that look like full size horses only in miniature. We breed for long, slender necks, beautiful heads with big eyes, intelligence, well balanced bodies with good hips, straight legs and teeth, and attitude!

gotmilk (9K) The most commonly asked question we get is "What can you do with them?" The answers are many and nearly unlimited. We take our mini's anywhere in the back of our car. We visit schools teaching children about miniature horses. We participate in many parades complete with costumes! Miniature horses can be shown in halter, obstacle driving, hunter/jumper, pleasure driving and the most recent craze is racing them at a trot! These wonderful horses make great pets as well, for their personalities are generally very willing to please and docile. We have been raising and showing miniature horses for eight years and have gained national recognition in the show ring.

Our favorite community service is taking the horses to the hospitals! We even go into the Intensive Care Unit. These horses are very careful not to step on any tubes or wires, just bring joy and smiles on the faces of many! When we visit hospitals we take the horses up the elevators, down the halls and right into the patients' rooms. On our last visit Tuffy went into a little boys room who could hardly move. Tuffy rested his head on the boys bed so he could be petted while Tuffy slept for 20 minutes!

Driving your mini

miniriding (8K) We do a lot of driving our horses in carts or buggies. These horses, though small, can pull 3 to 4 times their weight comfortably. They love to see sights and take liesure strolls through parks and school grounds (we have permisssion to go anywhere dogs can go). The average miniature horse can easily pull 300 to 400 pounds for several hours in a well balanced cart. Driving is an excellent way to keep a horse conditioned and happy. Miniature horses are very easy to train to cart, many of which are pulling the cart in just a few weeks.

Daily Needs

foal (8K)These horses do not need a lot of pasture (they tend to get overweight easily)but do require shelter, fresh water, exercise, brushing and vaccines, worming and hoof care just like full size horses. It costs approximately $15 per month to feed which in many cases is less than most dogs! They do enjoy being loved and petted like a dog. Mine come into my house, occassionally, for treats or to "show off" some new tricks. Our horses seem to be "house trained" as we do not have "accidents" in the house or in any buildings we visit. This comes naturally to horses as they are very clean animals. However, please remember, these are horses, it is not recommended they "live" in your house.

whitehorse (6K) Our premier stallion B.Z.'s Legacy has three National Top Ten Awards, AMHA High Point Champion, National Honor Roll Champion, AMHR Register of Merit and may Northwest Championships and High Point awards. We strive to produce refinement, beauty and elegance into every horse. All our horses have a geight guarantee (unless otherwise stated) and have been wormed, trimmed and cared for on a rigorous and timely schedule.

Take a look at our sales list and information on some of the horses we are offering for sale. Please let me know if you have questions or if you are looking for specific qualities or characteristics in a horse.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can answer any questions for you from training to feeding or racing to showing, I'd love to help.
