It was really snowy and cold when I received a call from a woman desperate to have a harness made for her pet squirrel.  It seems she rescued him as a baby when the tree he was born in fell down killing his mother and siblings.  They bottle fed this cutie and he has become quit tame and extremely entertaining!

My first question was, “If you let him go, can you catch him??” We were in my shop and there were plenty of places for an agile little fella to run and hide.  She said, “Sure!”  Well, I was still a skeptic and little apprehensive to take on a project that was sure to an illusion act of unprecedented shenanigans.

I modified an extra small traditional harness, in purple! His favorite color.  The first nano second he had it on he flipped, turned flip, flip, squirm and BAM! He was out of it and on the shelf with all my boots!  ( I also make custom purses from old cowboy boots in the shop where the Be Bop products are manufactured).  We had fun, laughed, squealed and tried again.  We finally found a system that worked.  Now He can safely go outside and play…. with the cat!
